Susan B. Anthony 1820-1906
American suffragist and civil rights activist
Susan B. Anthony devoted her life trying to win voting rights for women in the United States. She also campaigned for the abolition of slavery, the right for women to own their own property and retain their earnings. Although she did not live to see the day, her tireless struggle for women's rights legalized the vote for American women in 1920.
