About Echoes
We are mostly water. The same water molecules have passed through oceans, trees, animals, humans, and dinosaurs over millions of years, without seeming to care much about the differences. I like the idea that something that once moved through ancient creatures now exists in our bodies, and in coffee cups. And soon, somewhere else again.
In the series Echoes, blue water-beings take shape in acrylic ink, where forms emerge and dissolve into one another. The works explore the need for connection, and the possibility that nature may have connected everything long before humans began to speak about loneliness.
